How are fantasy football points calculated?

Standard scoring awards 0.04 points per passing yard (1 point per 25 yards), 4 points per passing touchdown, -2 per interception, 0.1 points per rushing or receiving yard (1 point per 10 yards), 6 points per rushing or receiving touchdown, and -2 per fumble lost. Any reception points your league uses are added on top of that.

How much is a reception worth in PPR, Half-PPR, and Standard?

A reception is worth 1 point in full PPR, 0.5 points in Half-PPR (also written 1/2-PPR), and 0 points in Standard. Every other part of the formula is identical across the three formats.

What is the difference between Standard, PPR, and Half-PPR scoring?

The only difference is how much each catch is worth: Standard gives 0 points per reception, Half-PPR gives 0.5, and PPR gives 1. The gap between a player’s Standard and PPR total equals their number of receptions, which is why pass-catchers gain the most value in PPR leagues.

How it works

This calculator uses the most common fantasy football scoring rules: 0.04 points per passing yard (1 point per 25), 4 points per passing TD, −2 per interception, 0.1 per rushing or receiving yard (1 point per 10), 6 points per rushing or receiving TD, and −2 per fumble lost. Receptions vary by league:

Standard: 0 points per reception
Half-PPR: 0.5 points per reception
PPR: 1 point per reception

You don't have to take the formula on trust: as soon as you type a stat, Where the points come from appears under the fields and itemises your own line — count × per-unit value = points, row by row, summing to the total in the rail. The three format tiles score that same line in Standard, 1/2 PPR and PPR side by side, so the gap between the Standard and PPR figures is exactly your receptions × 0.5 or × 1.0.
